Likely ahead of a beta announcement, a new One UI 7 leak has revealed some of the features Samsung will launch on Galaxy devices alongside Android 15.
We’ve already learned a lot about what’s new in Samsung’s One UI 7 update, such as split notifications and quick settings, redesigned icons and more, but a new leak from Android titles reveals some other features coming in the update.
According to this latest report, Samsung plans to bring a handful of new features, starting with the previously announced Circle to Search ability to help with homework. This feature hasn’t been rolled out yet, but Samsung apparently plans to include it in One UI 7. Along the same lines, Samsung’s own parental controls tools are getting a boost in this update, including the ability to track the location of the child’s and children’s device. to send a purchase request for a specific application.
There are more AI features, of course.
One UI 7 will apparently use AI to add depth to images via “Live Effects”, as well as add new styles to “Sketch to Image”, a feature launched on the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 in One UI 6.1.1. The “Energy Score” feature that works on a Galaxy smartphone and Galaxy Watch also appears to be expanding in One UI 7.
Compared to other leaks, this latest one doesn’t reveal much in the way of tangible or exciting changes, but it may help temper expectations for when the update will finally arrive. At first glance, One UI 7 seems much more focused on a visual overhaul than new features.
This latest report also helps to show that, with a clear look at Samsung’s new app icons from the update.
The same video, seen below, also shows the new lock screen with a visible bullet for Current Activities, similar to Apple’s Live Activities and Google’s work with “In Progress Notifications” for Android 16. Another leaked video recently showed updates to the lock screen, but did not showcase this new feature. That same video also shows that split notifications and quick settings, also seen in Samsung’s clip below, will be optional.
