Amazon apparently leaked the rumored next-generation Mac mini ahead of Apple’s announcement this week, revealing several details.
According to a comparison table of Amazon’s product listing for the new iMac, the new Mac mini will be available with M4 and M4 Pro chip options, with up to a 14-core CPU and up to a 20-core GPU. hearts. Additionally, the chart indicates that the new Mac mini can be configured with up to 64 GB of RAM, double the current 32 GB limit for unified memory. The Mac mini’s storage capacities will apparently continue to reach 8TB, like the previous model.
The graphic includes a tiny image of the new Mac mini that appears to confirm that the computer will feature two front-facing USB-C ports, as previously rumored. It’s possible these are Thunderbolt 4 ports, but the chart doesn’t make that clear. And is that a headphone jack on the front right? The image is a little too small and blurry to be sure.
When shown side-by-side with the Mac Studio in the comparison chart, the new Mac mini also appears to be much smaller than the current model, as previously rumored. BloombergMark Gurman of , said that the computer would be closer in size to an Apple TV.
Here is the complete comparison table:
Unfortunately for Space Black fans, the chart shows that the next Mac mini will apparently only be available in silver, like the current model.
It’s likely that the comparison chart graphic shown in Amazon’s listing is provided by Apple, so the specs are likely accurate.
Apple will likely announce the new Mac mini by Wednesday.
Update: Predictably, the comparison chart was removed from the Amazon listing within minutes of posting, but it was likely genuine.
